Sonia Sotomayor is undoubtedly a symbol of gender and racial equality. her appointment has exposed the section of politicians who are biased and discriminate on the bases of sex and color.

Sotomayor would not be the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice. She would be the first Latino Supreme Court Justice. The first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice was Benjamin Cardozo.

Republicans are proving how insane they are by rejecting Sotomayor. A nominee who was initially appointed to the courts by GHW Bush.
Today's Republicans are so frothing at the mouth that even Bush Sr's judges are too 'left-wing' for them.
